Kristin Skaare makes her CD debut

What's being presented is called "Amoraroma",  and Kristin Skaare is serving it. Prepare your taste buds!

She has been session musician on recordings with Jonas Fjeld, Steinar Albrigtsen and Eriksen. She has toured with Kari Bremnes and Susanne Lundeng. Now Kristin Skaare makes her own CD debut where she sings, plays keyboards, produces and is responsible for both music and arrangements.

She playfully presents 12 love poems by Inger Hagerup, served as piqante warm dishes with great aromatic variety. Main ingredients are, apart from herself: drums, percussion and loops (Michael Blair), guitar (Frode Alnæs) and bass (Audun Erlien). All spiced up with saw, benjo and others.

In 1975 she sang with the Haslum Church children's choir on KKV's 2nd LP release. In 1987 she passed her exams as Norway's first female jazz piano student. In 1991 she received a Norwegian musician's price. During the 90's she has taken part in numerous tours and recordings. In 1999 Kristin Skaare makes her debut with the solo album "Amoraroma" on Kirkelig Kulturverksted's label.

"Amoraroma" is a new word, invented for the occasion. It would be best translated as "elusive, fragrant love".
