Oslo Gospel Choir, Prinsesse Märtha Louise & Sigvart Dagsland // Det Skjedde i de Dager // CD
A new Christmas CD featuring the Oslo Gospel Choir, Princess Märtha Louise and Sigvart Dagsland.
"Det skjedde i de dager..." is the new Christmas CD with the Oslo Gospel Choir, Princess Märtha Louise and Sigvart Dagsland, featuring nine well-loved Christmas carols and two new songs in addition to the Christmas Gospel recited by the Princess and accompanied by Sigvart Dagsland's beautiful composition.
Sigvart Dagsland and the Oslo Gospel Choir obviously make a perfect match. But then, putting the power and expressive excellence of the greatest male voice in Norway together with the rich texture and swinging beat of the gospel choir, actually the best-selling artists of the 1990s, can't help but create the expectation that this a really extraordinary Christmas record.
The icing on the cake is Princess Märtha Louise sharing her deeply personal interpretation of the Christmas gospel with us. This is a CD that is bound to be hugely popular this Christmas. You can hear new versions of familiar Christmas carols such as "Stille natt", "O helga natt" (this time with a new translation into Norwegian by Ole Paus: "Hellige natt"), "Mitt hjerte alltid vanker" (with a heart-rending trumpet solo by Ole Edvard Antonsen) and the great Gospel choir hit "En stjerne skinner i natt" (now in a new arrangement featuring the Princess as soloist). Two brand new Christmas songs have also been included, one composed by the choir conductor, Tore Aas, the other by Sigvart Dagsland, both with lyrics by Erik Hillestad
