Seljemark // Drops of Hope // CD

How can we describe Seljemark? A source of good pop songs, a vital group with great singing talent, a wonderful start to the summer of 2003, a glass of sparkling wine?

Really, they're all this and more. Two women, two men, making their record debut with the album "Drops of Hope". They wrote and produced it themselves, and recorded it at Nidaros studio, to the immense pleasure of fans of quality pop music.

They have all paid their dues, playing the clubs in central Norway for years, but only recently decided to start a band called by the family name of the two female singers, Seljemark.

The quality of the songs and their singing on their demo made a strong impression on KKV. Though the arrangements, texts and songs have no great ambitions to groundbreaking innovation, these songs are undoubtedly original and bear the mark of great craftsmanship. A dose of "feel-good" music is always welcome in troubled times, perhaps in particular when issued by a company often associated with more than its share of the serious side of life.

Mildrid and Rannveig Seljemark (vocals), Jarl Ivar Andersen (guitars) and Kjetil Sandnes (bass) invite you to take part in an enjoyable, carefree, swinging and harmonious experience. In the company of this quartet, hailing from the Trondheim area, slip into top gear and cruise along the sweet and easygoing days of summer.
