Silje Sirnes Winje and Maria Solheim hold nothing back on their “Bråkebøttebaluba” album

 Silje and Maria are back with a new hot off the press children’s album. The closest we can come to this in English is  “mischiefmakerhullabaloo”. They tell stories about Enniken Fenniken, Mormors Superstar [Granny's Superstar], a much sought-after panda and lots of other loony characters and animals. The album abounds with quick and whimsical ideas and games, giving the listener butterflies in the stomach, smiles across the face and stars in their eyes. 

With this release, Silje and Maria have decided to open a new YouTube channel for children’s music. They think this is needed today because children can’t really find good music to listen to. 

The lyrics have been written by Åse Sirnes Winje, Silje’s mother, and the melodies are written by Silje Sirnes Winje, Christer Slaaen, Maria Solheim and Vigleik Winje. These catchy pop tunes are easy for children and adults to sing along to.

On their new record they play with the elite of Norwegian musicians, with Karl Oluf Wennerberg on drums, Tor Egil Kreken on bass, Eiolf Ødegård on keyboards and Christer Slaaen, producer, co-composer and arranger, on a number of instruments. Everyone on the team has butterflies in their stomachs as they look forward to showing what they have been having fun with in the studio.
